Cristina Menni

Cristina Menni, born in Viareggio in 1972, is an Italian artist who lives and works in Pietrasanta. Growing up in a family steeped in artistic tradition, she cultivated her passion for art in her grandfather’s painting studio and through her collaboration with her father, a jewelry designer. Despite earning a law degree and practicing as a lawyer, her deep connection to art eventually became a calling, leading her to fully dedicate herself to her creative pursuits.

Menni's work is defined by a compelling interplay between the raw power of her materials and the ethereal delicacy of her human figures. Her unique approach blends a bold, textured, and aggressive painting technique with stylized and harmonious profiles, resulting in art that is both striking and introspective.

In addition to her exhibitions, she gained widespread recognition in June 2016 for her participation in a campaign against violence against women. Her sculptures, representing stylized female figures, were displayed at symbolic landmarks in Forte dei Marmi, such as Il Fortino and the Pontile, amplifying her voice as an artist with a social conscience.

Through her art, Cristina Menni continues to explore the balance of strength and sensitivity, leaving an indelible mark on contemporary Italian art.
