Antonio Sidibe


Antonio Sidibè, born in Florence in 1986, is an Italian artist living and working in Viareggio. After earning a degree in European Languages, he pursued his passion for art at the Accademia di Belle Arti in Carrara, studying under the renowned Professor Omar Galliani.

Sidibè’s artistic journey began with his first solo exhibition, Black&White, held in Pietrasanta in 2010. The following year, he participated in the 54th Venice Biennale, presenting his work in the Italian Pavilion. His art reflects a deep sensitivity to digital iconography, bridging modern technologies with traditional painting techniques. This fusion is evident in his celebrated series Titanium White and Jpeg, where meticulous technical precision meets a contemporary aesthetic.
Over the years, Sidibè has exhibited extensively both in Italy and internationally, including shows at prestigious venues such as Galleria Irena Kos Artecontemporanea in Pietrasanta. His contributions to art have earned him accolades, including second place in the Opera Prize – Work in Progress – Between Utopia and Reality in Ravenna in 2013.

In addition to his artistic practice, Sidibè has been teaching painting in various art schools since 2022, sharing his expertise with the next generation of artists. Through his innovative work and dedication to education, Antonio Sidibè continues to make a significant impact on the contemporary art scene.
